Taryn (like Karyn with a T) is a wife and mother of a blended family with 7 children. She taught for 10 years before venturing into the speech world in 2008. She earned her B.A. in Liberal Studies and her M.A. in Classroom Management and Instruction from BIOLA University. She earned her M.S. in Speech Language Pathology from NOVA Southeastern University. She started private practice in 2018. A few clients later, Teach 2 Speech was born and expanded to include training the next generation of SLPs and teachers.
When Taryn isn't serving her clients, parents, speech therapist or teachers, she can be found alongside her husband, one or more of their children or one of their Great Dane-Boxer sisters.

Prior to becoming a Speech-Language Pathologist, she worked as a Speech Language Pathology Assistant in both the school and private practice. Her passion is speech sound disorders and helping children succeed academically and socially. When she isn't serving her clients, you can find her with her 3 children chasing sunshine and handing out snacks.

We are ecstatic that we found Taryn. She is so kind! In the first week alone, Sebastian was glowing with confidence and he said, "purple" as clear as day. It's only been about a month and I can understand almost every word he speaks. Before he would get so frustrated and cry and act out.
Right now, he's almost an entirely new happy little guy and he knows to slow down to tell us what he wants to say. HE NEVER DID THAT BEFORE! God knew we needed Taryn and we are so blessed!
My daughter has made more progress in her private sessions with Taryn these past couple months than she has made in a year of speech therapy through the educational system. We are grateful for both but it has been a big difference working with Taryn. It has been helpful learning how we can continue to support our daughter at home, specifically working on the sounds she is mastering and improving on. We are not able to get that much feedback due to much less parent interaction with the therapist at the school. Our daughter loves going to speech and has fun through play and is proud of her improvements.
Our daughter's tongue thrust, s sounds and th sounds have improved so much since she began speech therapy. Miss Katie plans fun, play based sessions and our daughter looks forward to going to speech. We are glad we found Teach 2 Speech Therapy.
When I grow up I'm going to be a speech therapist and work with all the kids to help them and make it a lot of fun like Ms. Taryn helps me.
Taryn has been a blessing to our family and needs. My child has been in speech therapy her whole life. Therapists have come and gone. I have never experienced the passion and dedication this woman has put into my kid. She's definitely worth every penny, and, yes, I get more here than with insurance coverage. I would recommend her to anyone I know needing speech services.
My 7 year old daughter and 5 year old son began working with Teach 2 Speech Therapy during COVID. We love the flexibility to do speech via zoom or outside. Ms. Taryn and Miss Katie teach speech in a fun way, incorporation reading, physical exercises and games. In particular, my children benefited greatly from the tongue exercises that were learned in class and practiced at home. I highly recommend their services.
The heart of Teach 2 Speech is to come alongside and partner with you on your journey and/or direct you to the professional(s) who can help with your specific areas for growth.
